MSc Pain Management, University of Leicester

This degree programme can be carried out in one year full-time or two years part-time. The programme is intended for healthcare professionals working in nursing, medicine, physiotherapy, pharmacy, psychology or occupational therapy. Applicants should have relevant professional qualifications or an honours degree in a healthcare subject coupled with suitable practical experience. This course aims to develop knowledge and competencies in the theoretical aspects of the management of patients in acute and chronic pain, with an emphasis on the multidisciplinary approach. Teaching is by a combination of an intensive taught element, and private study. Assessment of each module will be performed predominantly by submission of a report, which reviews clinical practice, and partly by a short written test.
